ARTISTIC DIRECTION

MARISSA LÔBO

Marissa Lôbo, artist and activist, from Bahia, Brazil, migrated many years ago to Europe, after Italy and Portugal finally to Austria. In her work she programmatically tries to combine politics, education and art. She graduated in post-conceptual art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and is now working on her PhD there. She was responsible for the cultural area of maiz for many years and was involved in a variety of projects to this end.

ARTISTIC DIRECTION

CATRIN SEEFRANZ

Catrin Seefranz is a cultural worker, cultural scientist with a specialization on Latin American culture. Having been active in the field of art and culture for many years, among others at documenta 12, the Vienna International Film Festival ‘Viennale’ or at the Queer Film Festival ‘identities’, as well as academically in the field of Art Education (Zürich University of the Arts), she tries to thwart hegemonies in the art field in her work. She is one of the founders of kültüř gemma! and of ‘oca: migrations, minorities, arts’, an initiative that realizes projects at the intersection of art, education and activism, such as the ‘Night School’ (at the Wiener Festwochen).

ENESI M.

Enesi M. is a multifaceted artist, aspiring producer, writer, and vocalist, known for her unique blend of dark wave and heavy metal sounds infused with hip hop and Afro-Latinx rhythms. With a daring approach, she combines harsh, guttural vocals with raps and sung harmonies, fearlessly traversing a wide range of emotions through her lyrics.

In addition to her musical pursuits, Enesi M. has amassed over a decade of experience in social media, honing her expertise in the field. She also completed her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in 2020, further expanding her artistic knowledge and skills.

PROJECT COORDINATION

MBATJIUA HAMBIRA

Mbatjiua is a musician and cultural producer. He studied International Development, completed his MSc in Socioeconomics, and worked as an EU project coordinator at the Kulturhaus Brotfabrik. In addition to his work as a songwriter and producer, he releases his own projects in the genres of Leftfield, Rap, Indie, and Contemporary Bass. He also composes for installations, performances, and short films. He is interested in how constructions of class, participation, and representation shape the context for late-modern democracies.
