Heather Marina Saenz

Heather Marina Saenz is an art historian, sound artist, and graduate student. She was introduced to the transformative power of art history for personal and collective healing during her first courses at a community college as a 1st generation college student and daughter of former agricultural migrant workers in California. Since then, she studied Art History at Mount Holyoke College, trained in museum studies at Columbia University in NYC, as well as lived and worked in Syria and Oman. In Vienna, she studies International Development and produces radio news pieces, as well as a monthly show (ZamZaman) on Radio Orange of experimental music from around the world. Her current work focuses on BIPOC art and music histories in Vienna, as well as throughout Central and Eastern Europe.
