Eduardo Triviño Cely

During the fellowship at Kunstraum Château Rouge under the direction of artist Elisabeth Bakambamba Tambwe, the exploration and experimentation was about an artistic, experimental engagement with the medium of video as one of documentation. Thematically, it was about relationships between art and prostitution in various formats, from performance to on-site installation as well as discussion. For a film screening in a joint exhibition, video recordings were made in different parts of the city and Elisabeth Bakambamba Tambwe's performances and the debates with the audience were documented.

Born in Bogota, Colombia, in 1990, Eduardo Triviño Cely lives and works in Vienna as well as in Colombia. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts as well as at the University of Applied Arts (at the Institute of Media Arts). He works as a video designer at the Burgtheater in Vienna. In his artistic work he focuses on sound performance and video and sound installations. The invisible, inaudible and undiscovered is always the starting point for his space-related artistic works. In the zone between improvisation and experimentation, he relates these elements and realms to each other. Besides his activity as a performer, he also works as a curator in the field of music and sound (E.g. Mo.ë, LABOA, La Cueva).
