Daria Tchapanova

Daria Tchapanova (*1983 Bulgaria) is a Visual Artist, working and living in Vienna, Austria.

Her work explores urban and architectural spaces through a range of media and methods, including site-specific interventions, installations, video, photography, collage and graphics.

Daria carries a traveling spirit, she has worked and exhibited in different geographic locations which encouraged her to work also in the field of documentation. It goes along with questions of social engagement, belonging and temporal appropriation of space. And mainly inspired through collaborations. A white thread, representing an element of connection and the interface between the artist and the space, is a visible and tangible aspect of the work. Currently she engages with art and anthropology and how to draw a line between two ways of thinking.
